Max Seeck

Max Seeck (b. 1985) is author, screenwriter and film director from Espoo.

His debut thriller, The Angels of Hammurabi, was published in 2016, and was selected as the Debut Detective Story of the Year by the Finnish Whodunnit Society Seeck’s fourth novel, The Faithful Reader, became the first Finnish work to enter The New York Times bestseller list since Mika Waltari’s The Egyptian, and his sixth novel, Kauna, received the annual Lasiavain Award for the best Nordic detective story. Translation rights for Seeck’s novels have been sold to dozens of countries, and he is the most translated Finnish author of the 2020s.
