Jo Nesbø (NO)

The Norwegian author Jo Nesbø is one of the world’s most popular writers. He is best known for his Harry Hole series, which has sold tens of millions of copies worldwide. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the 14th instalment. Nesbø is also known as a musician and an avid mountain climber. He became a full-time writer after publishing his debut novel The Bat (1997; Finnish translation 2001). From the very start of his career, his books have won major awards and earned the admiration of both critics and readers alike. His most recent visit to Finland was in 2019.
