Christian Rönnbacka (b. 1969) is a writer with a police background and an adventurer who enjoys nature. He is a partner in both a distillery and a company that manufactures Finnish fishing equipment.
Rönnbacka’s popular Hautalehto detective stories have become known for their unique humor and expertise in police work. Audiobook service BookBeat has chosen Christian Rönnbacka as Finnish Detective Story of the Year for several years now. Hautalehto’s detective stories Kylmä syli and Rakennus 31 have been made into TV series, and both broke viewership records.
In addition to Hautalehto, Rönnbacka writes the Henna Björk detective series, which delves into the depths of international crime. He has also published non-fiction books, and in collaboration with Mika ”Immu” Ilmén, he has written the suspense novel Jabi.
