Heikki Valkama

Heikki Valkama (born 1975) is a Helsinki-based journalist and thriller author. His debut novel, “Pallokala”, which introduced top Finnish chef Riku Mäki to the public, won him the “Book à la Carte” award, while the Finnish Whodunnit Society awarded the book its Debut Detective Novel of the Year title. “Keisarin varjo” (2025) is part six of the Riku Mäki crime novel series, set in Japan.
