Marja Aarnipuro

Marja Aarnipuro (b. 1960) has had a long career as a journalist, including being an editor-in-chief of the magazine Apu before retiring. The journalist-author, originally from Northern Ostrobothnia, currently lives in Helsinki, is the mother of two adult children and the owner of two Cairn terriers. In her books, Aarnipuro skillfully combines sensitive topics with black humor. In addition to the Kaarina Riikonen ratkaisee detective stories, she has written three non-fiction books about the breast cancer she herself suffered from.
